To My Peter Boy

Peter, I don't think you can fully grasp yet how loved you are in this home of yours. I can't explain the feeling I got when I knew you were on your way here, or when I got the feeling that it was time to bring you here. You've already tugged at my heart strings in more ways than one. It's been hard missing your dad a lot this summer, but your innocent and happy smile turns my mood right around!

Your 1st "real" Sunday outfit. Little old man you are.
We escape to the mother's room any chance we get! You are quite loud these days in church, so I don't mind spending time with you in those maroon rocking chairs while you chat about life.
You were jumping too much to snag a non-blurry picture.
Your big brother Crew adores you the most I think--and loves to pick you up!

Back to squealing away! You sure love your bath time.
Your big sister loves to lay with you any second she gets, and eats you up too. I have a feeling you and Crew will keep her grounded during her lifetime. She is a lucky girl to have such sweet brothers.

You're in my favorite stage of life. Grabbing your toes is your latest trick, and we all can't get enough of it!
It's getting harder and harder to quickly change your diaper these days...

You complete our little family for now, and we couldn't love you any more than we do. We are so lucky to have you & I can't believe you're almost halfway to your F I R S T birthday. I think we might have to celebrate...xoxo Peter boy.

Chicago Day 3

Day 3 consisted of sleeping a lot...I forgot my computer charger AND the book I was reading back at home. So that left me with nothing to do. I enjoyed my naps with Peter and sleeping in till 10am daily.
Portillos with my friend Katie for lunch!
Peter and Emma's first official hang-out.
 Clearly, she wasn't amused.
We then headed to Buy Buy Baby to shop around for my SIL who is having a baby girl in November. I went a little aunt crazy, and bought her a few things that had to do with "Lamb" because her last name is Lamb! So naturally, it's important for her to know that...with all of her Lamb gear.

Then we headed to one of my favorite places. "Half-Price Books" Now, I'm not sure how they can sell their books so cheap (I know they are used) but we scored some cute books.
It made me happy to get pictures sent like this to me during my trip...
 Back to sleeping.

I watched him pull his own diaper off! It was funny.

That's a wrap for Day 3! Day 4 is pretty much the same...

Chicago Day 2

We woke up Sunday morning and went to sacrament meeting. It was tough waking Peter up for church...is he already a teenager?!
Attending church alone the last couple months hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be. We have a pretty incredible ward. I have had a lot of help. We have a couple who saves us a bench every week, and my kids sit with them most of the time.
It was so nice to finally go with Alex though in Chicago.
We then met up with my dad and brother downtown for some good Chicago deep dish pizza! Nothing better.

Gosh this boy is darn cute. I'm loving the stage he is in.
Then we headed off to sight see...

I quickly showed my brother how to use my camera, and we were set to go!
Kinda wish I grabbed Peter in a different place, but hey, it's still a cute picture.
Every one of my kids love their Grandpa Tom.

I made him stop talking and take this picture because he's darn attractive! How did I score this one?!

I had to document Peter's first uber ride in a big city, NOT in a car seat. I was as relaxed as I could be. I knew we were obviously going to be fine..but I am the annoying carseat mom. He loved riding in the car free!

Donuts are my thing. Always have been--so we stopped at a cute donut shop to partake!

Alex wasn't here because he was too busy riding his longboard somewhere...yes he brought it will him to the city all day. So we saw him here and there... :)
He's been trying to suck his thumb more and more each day. Kinda hope it sticks.
After a long day, we finally made it back to our hotel!
We loved seeing the city lit up.

I have a similar picture of Crew like this one. ^^^ They look the same.
I can't get enough of my chubby babes.

It was a very fun day, and we were all so ready to hop right into bed when we got home. We loved having our alone time with Peter boy. When Alex left for summer sales, Peter was hardly 3 months old. Still in the sleepy/non smiling stage. Al was happy to spend more time with just him!

Then it was off to work for Alex the next day...
I think he was pretty sad about it.
