Old Photos

I'm such a sucker for family photos. I'm in the process of transferring pictures to our hard drive and I stumbled upon a few of my favorites of Crew:

That was his favorite book for the longest time. The colors grabbed his attention and he sat quietly through the whole book every time.
Our trip to Disney world/beach with family was the best, and his legs in the swim diaper was even better.
I loved when he would do this in the stores. It's like it was soooo boring.
He loved bath time and always has, but my favorite was when he would snuggle in his towel after the bath. So yummy and squishy.
When babies grab their toes? Favorite.
 Chunky 5 month old
 Love his face!
Poor boy was very sick when I took this photo. It literally broke my heart to watch him. I remember having to take him to the hospital twice to see the respiratory therapist so she could suction his nose. It was truly the saddest thing I had ever seen! I had to hold my sweet 4 month old down while he screamed and the doctor suctioned. So so sad. I'm almost positive that during this time I didn't sleep once. It was a long long week.

I have loved watching this little baby turn into a sweet, good-natured little boy.

T W O

Days when a 2 year didn't sleep much the night before and when he doesn't nap that day are tough, but we are hanging in there! *barely*

Does it take anyone else hours to fold laundry? Even just a little bit? It takes me F O R E V E R. I have a little bit of ADD or something because I cannot just get the task done for the life of me. Then the laundry that IS folded gets thrown on the ground by a lovely, thriving, hyper 2 year old.

Did I mention we have hit the terrible two's? (which I don't believe in anyway..I think they are "terrible" until age 4..wink wink...)

Anyone else think dorky pajamas make kids cuter?

I also don't think that I blogged about his second birthday! Well it was super low key but he loved it. I took like one picture...oops. And we did nothing for it :)

Love you Crew

Dear Crew

Dear Crew,

This is such a fun age for your mama & dada, but also a tough one too. Remember the time a few weeks ago where you escaped Grandma Lambs house at night and 2 strangers found you stomping in puddles across the street? Yea that was scary for all of us, but also very funny because you wore your dads shoes to go stomp in the puddles. I really wish I got a picture of that. We are so so so glad you didn't wander off further and that the 2 strangers were nice enough to give you back to us.

Today you decided to throw everything you could in the toilet.

Then you emptied out a big jug of dishwashing soap...which I don't think you ate, and you seemed fine after. It was however very messy.

You still insist on giving your sister kisses all the time and then hitting her in the head...hard. Then you look at us with a confused look and burst into tears. It scares you when she screams...but she wouldn't scream if you kept your hands to yourself.

Your also a very kind little person. You get SO excited for "dada" to come home when that garage door opens. I have got to capture your face on camera one of these days.

You say "peeese mama?" in the sweetest voice I have ever heard.

You love nursery but for some reason we have to remind you that you love it every Sunday.
You still cry when we leave you, but you have fantastic teachers who know how to distract you. When we come pick you up we can tell you just had the very best time.

You fold your arms ever so carefully when it's time to say prayer. Lately though you won't say "amen" after night time prayers because you know what's coming next...bed time.

We are so in love with you it's crazy!
xoxo

A Name and A Blessing...

Our sweet Laney Kate was blessed today in our home by her father, and it was beautiful.

We were so happy to have some family attend, but greatly missed those who were not able to make it!

I wish I could say it was just all rainbows and butterflies during the blessing, but of course with a 2 year old..it wasn't! It doesn't matter if I heard what her dad said exactly or the pictures we took, or if we had a big celebration after (we didn't). All that matters is that the ordinance is done, and complete!

Great Grandpa Dennis & Great Gramma Susan

This amazing woman made her blessing dress, bonnet and booties too! Something that will be special in our family and hopefully passed on to her little sisters!
We laughed at this picture because no one told us that you couldn't see seth! haha
 That's better!

 Crew loves his uncle Sethers!

 Cousin Kooper!

 So glad they came!
 Gramma Lamb!
This is how pictures really went...Crew crying in the background. Literally.
 Grandpa Lamb!

So grateful to everyone who came, and we love our sweet girl to pieces!
Doesn't she just look adorable in her bonnet??

Pumpkin Patch

My parents are in town! Wahooo. Seriously. It's so great when they come because they are all about the kiddos and we barely have to change a diaper or take care of them.. ha ha but really, my dad has Crew the whole time and they have a blast, and then my mom is bouncing Laney cheek to cheek around the house while gritting her teeth. It's the best.
I love how much they love our kids. It makes me so darn excited for my brothers & sister to start having kids so that our love can just spill over to their little families! (I cannot wait)

Today we ventured out to the glorious pumpkin patch aka Mother Natures Farms and Crew was over the moon with excitement!
We pulled up and he starts clapping super fast while saying "Yayyyyy Punkinnnnn"
We did it all folks!

The tractor ride.
Decorating the "punkin"
Feeding the animals  goats.
Hay Maze

When we see pink cheeks on little Crew we know he is just busy having fun!

Hey everyone..look at me! Or not...
 Ellie aka the baby hog

He was saying "papa go? papa go?"
One happy grandpa ready to give Crew another carrot for the weird goats

These handsome boys were good sports through it all!
Little Laney Loo was so tired but she was hangin in there most of the time!
 Tractor Ride

Of course we had to get this shot!

Decorating pumpkins. They used to let you paint them, but I like this much better!

And the maze...haha Oh Crew was so confused, and we were all laughing our heads off

 Determined to get out...
He did turn to Ellie and say "help?" hahahaha
So glad to have great-gramma join us! She is the best baby holder.
