Thoughts

My sweet grandma informed me today that I haven't blogged in a while! Not much has happened since my last post...or since any of my posts. The kiddos and I are finally feeling a little better. Laney's cough is just so sad though and Crew's runny nose is endless.

My significant other is out of town again working hard for our little family...so that I can still enjoy my random and completely unnecessary Target trips...and obviously pay for the more adult things in life. I'm grateful for him. I miss him a lot but for some reason I'm more on top of household things when he is gone. Does this happen to anyone else? I think when he is home I automatically get lazy and expect him to do everything..and then nothing gets cleaned like it should. ha ha Whenever he goes on a trip I send him pictures of what I cleaned that day so he knows I am a clean person! (he knows this already) but when he gets home I just stop. It's not good. It's like I just expect him to take over 100% when he comes back!

We are still here in Arizona--this place is just the best. We will move to Alabama in the summer for work and then hopefully back to Arizona. Utah may be back in our lives sooner than we would like, but there are still so many little details to work out. The fact that it's amazing weather in the winters in AZ just makes me cringe to think of living in Utah ever again. We moved to Arizona for one reason only and that reason is no longer a reason. (I said that word too much) I'm starting to think that it would be easier for us to just live in a dang RV or mobile home that we can take with us wherever we go. The thought of moving makes my stomach turn and I completely detach myself from our belongings. I would rather just sell everything or toss it. Seriously. They are just things.

Today we went to Target and grabbed some groceries. I told Crew he could choose a snack and he took forever...finally picking the goldfish. Good choice buddy. He is becoming the best errand buddy. He will put Laney's binky in her mouth if she cries or he will help load the cart up with food. He understands everything I say and I can almost understand everything he says.

Oh and I really need to get my eyebrows waxed. Am I the only girl who could careless about that stuff? I have to make myself get my hair done too. I just hate committing to appointments and sitting there...but I do it for the hubs. He and I are so different! He is on top of that stuff.

Over and out!

Little Sickie's

Well it happened! The nasty winter cold has struck again at our house. All four of us have it and it doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon. Mom's really shouldn't be allowed to get sick. This week before I was sick I managed to keep the house clean for the most part. No dishes in the sink--so I was pretty proud! Until I got sick..and it all got destroyed.
My sweet husband cleaned for me tonight so at least it won't be too crazy for Sunday.

I can't believe this girl is starting to sit up. No! Although I do want her to sit up because I know that she will be a much happier baby than she already is. (if that's even possible)

Little kids feet are the best, and I take way too many pictures of them.

But in all reality this is how we all felt today. Coughs, runny noses, stuck inside, and little to no sleep has me ready to pull my hair out! [I just really love Crew's cry face though. He get's so into it]

Here's to getting better sometime so that we can be normal again!

Things that I Like About my Life Right Now

I think it's important to document what we like right now in our life. It's easy to get carried away with things that are not going well or that we don't like. Those are much easier to list off...

Things I like about my life right now:

-I like that I am in school but it is not taking over my life. I am progressing in baby steps with my education and someday it will be finished (mark my words) but I still have time to be with my kids.

-I like that my husband encourages me to be my best self daily. Aren't husbands the best? [mine is better than everyone else's..but I could be biased.]

-I love my shows that I wind down with at the end of night. Does anyone else just wish so badly they could be Lady Mary from Downton Abbey? I mean-she is just classy yet feisty and such a rebel. Clearly she is my favorite. I also wish I was Meredith Grey and then Rachel from Friends. When your husband is out of town you start to think that these characters are real life friends people! Maybe I need to cut back a little...

-I like my ever growing list of books that I need to tackle. It's exciting to figure out which one I am going to read next.

-I like watching Crew choose what fruit snack he wants. It's so hard for him.

-I like asking Crew if he wants to go to the park---his response is the best.

-I like that my kids take one long nap at the same time together everyday. Sort of scared for when a new little one is introduced and rocks their world!

-I like that I have the freedom to go to the gym whenever I want during the day. I know that as the kids get older and life gets more crazy I won't have that privilege anymore!

-I like that we do get to see new places every summer. This is going to be apart of our life for a while so I better like it right? It's so hard to move-but once we are out there, the summer goes by fast for me. I kind of like that our little family is away having our own adventure-one that is so unique to us. I do know that once this opportunity is 'gone gone' (that I will have a little celebration) but that I will truly miss it. I will be itching to get the heck outta' town once in a while!

I need to make these lists more often to really see how blessed we are!

Knuckle Dimples & Toes

I didn't even know it was possible to take over 50 pictures of a baby in a diaper...until I had my babies. I remember so clearly when Crew was about to turn 5 months old. I had the little baby app on my phone saying all of the little milestones that would be coming up. I was so happy when Crew started grabbing his toes. I remember we were in St. George when it happened and I took a ton of pictures of him doing it. Of course the same excitement and anticipation was mustering up inside me as I was waiting for Laney to do the same. It happened...and I took lots of pictures to prove it! These kids of mine make me so happy and make my ovaries ache. I love being pregnant and miss it.

See those dimples on her knuckles? Well one day those won't be there (unless she eats too many little Debbie's) and I will miss them.

 The wrist rolls...

She is really trying to work on her figure these days...I just tell her not to worry about it-we will still love her anyways.

The toesies are a killer. Hers are so long and so delish
Laney we love you and all of your rolls!

I promise I will start blogging about Crew more---he just runs away whenever he sees my camera.

The Tiny Humans We Love Most

These three are just the sweetest little kids to have around. Each one is oozing with personality.
We love having Hazel roaming around our home.
 Our little bumbo-escapee

We love our little girly. She is so much fun to shop for!
Crew showing me the pine cones he found at the park!

5 Months

I love this picture because it shows the exact stage she is in right now. Grabbing everything and putting it in her cute little mouth.
Is it even real that she is already 5 months old? I am so excited to watcher her grow up but my little heart is obviously sad. This is all happening way to fast folks!
Wasn't I just at mutual the other day whispering with the girls about which boys we thought were cute? and talking about our future family's and how we were going to be perfect little wives? It's just funny to look back on and remember those times. I am still that mutual-goin-girl in so many ways. I have so much learning and growing up to do.
Anyway-Laney is 5 whole months. She is the sweetest little thing. She still adores Crew and loves cuddles/kisses a lot. Today while I was putting away groceries Crew was rocking her in her carseat and "talking" to her in his little language. I don't think her smile could have been bigger. I can't wait to see where their relationship will go. I hope that they will always think so highly of one another and want to spend a lot of time together.
Another cute moment is when I took Crew on a little date to target and left Laney at home with Mariah. We were in the car and Crew was so concerned why Laney wasn't with us. He kept asking where she was and told me that she needed to sit there (while pointing to her spot.) Man I love these kids...even on the super hard days.
We all love you Laney Kate!

Endless Sunshine

It's been amazing weather this week.
Park weather every single day in January with not one jacket to be seen.
It's heavenly.

(I'm still dabbling in photography a little bit and have a long way to go. So bare with me on the pictures here. Not in focus, but memories were made! )

We have enjoyed it to say the least!
